MORE ABOUT OUR CULINARY ARTS PROGRAM & PHOENIX COMMUNITY FARM AT WINDOVER HIGH SCHOOL
This program is an added curriculum to state requirements, available to WHS students to aid in expanding their experience and helping in their career path. It is a hands-on work experience where students learn in a commercial kitchen. The culinary arts students gain in-depth knowledge of where food comes from, learn about sustainable farming practices, and study seeding, seed transplanting, and greenhouse practices from Phoenix Community Farms. Our culinary arts program also takes outside orders from the public. Some of the skills culinary arts students learn in the program include:

GREAT LAKES BAY EARLY COLLEGE
Great Lakes Bay Early College (GLBEC) provides an opportunity for incoming 10th and 11th-grade high school students to earn up to 60 or more college credits at Saginaw Valley State University or Delta College at no cost to the student. Students can potentially earn their high school diploma and an associate's degree while receiving certification. Benefits include:

2023-2024 ENROLLMENT
GLBEC invites all interested fall 2023 Sophomores and Juniors of Bay Arenac, Midland, and Saginaw surrounding counties to enroll for the 2023-2024 school year. To enroll, at least one parent and student(s) must register to attend an information session.
